Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Study

Study Description: A Multi-Center, Open-Label, Randomized Phase 2 Clinical Trial Evaluating Safety and Efficacy of FOLFIRI with either Panitumumab or Bevacizumab as a Second-Line Treatment in Subjects with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer
Overview: Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in both men and women. The purpose of this clinical study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of a FOLFIRI with either Panitumumab or Bevacizumab as a second line of treatment in treating individuals with metastatic colorectal cancer.
Participants in this study will receive the following, at no cost: physical examinations; laboratory evaluations; vital signs measurements; EKG testing; and study-related medication.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Age 18 and older
- Diagnosis of metastatic adenocarcinoma of the colon or rectum that cannot be cured by surgical resection
Exclusion Criteria:
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Significant cardiovascular risk, such as symptomatic congestive heart failure, uncontrolled blood pressure, or symptomatic arrhythmia
- Regular use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents
- Chronic or active hepatitis B or C infection
- HIV positive status
