Avera McKennan Foundation Hosts
Fall Donor Recognition Reception

On Thursday, November 12, 2009, generous and loyal supporters of Avera McKennan and the Avera McKennan Foundation gathered for the Fall Donor Recognition Reception hosted by the Avera McKennan Foundation. Friends, families and employees gathered on the stage of the Great Hall at the Washington Pavilion to mingle and join others who share in their generosity to further the mission of Avera McKennan.

Hosted by Jim Woster, long-time supporter of Avera McKennan and host of "House Calls" on WNAX, the evening opened with a prayer from Sister Mary Thomas. 'The Guardian' award

A recognition ceremony followed; which featured a special presentation of a custom-crafted award for which select donors were given. This award, which was commissioned by the Avera McKennan Foundation, is a replica of a sculpture currently located on the Avera McKennan Campus. Appropriately titled "The Guardian", the one-foot bronze piece was given to five individuals as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions.
