Avera Think Pink - Breast Cancer Education and Resources

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, occurring in 1 in 8 females in the United States. Various combinations of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy can be used as treatment. Mammograms have been shown to reduce the risk of dying from breast cancer.

Avera Race Against Breast Cancer

The 20th Annual Avera Race Against Breast Cancer was held on May 10, 2008 at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center. This year marks the 20th anniversary of bringing together family, friends, cancer survivors and others - all racing toward a common goal: to enhance cancer care for people right here in Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities.
