MIS Department

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department installs and maintains computers and related hardware and software throughout the hospital. MIS also serves as the "Help Desk" resource for employees with questions or problems with computers and related systems. This department is responsible for system wide computer security.

The MIS department manages the local area network (LAN), as well as the connection to McKennan hospital through a dedicated phone line. The LAN serves as a file and print server for all departments and maintains all of the user data files. The LAN runs various programs for Home Health, Medical Records, anti-virus software, system backup and e-mail.
