Physical Therapy

The valuable final product of the Floyd Valley Hospital Physical Medicine Department is a patient who has decreased pain, improved function, has been educated so he / she can maintain his / her condition, and feels that he / she has been cared for as a unique and important individual.


 Features

  • A spacious 1500 square foot gym area with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment right at Floyd Valley Hospital
  • Six physical and three occupational therapists with skills in varying specialties and expertise
  • Dedicated staff that provides competent, customized and caring treatment to decrease pain, improve function and assist patients in maintaining or improving their condition after treatment
  • A facility open from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, but with therapists available as a patient's needs arise

       

  • Staff may provide services for inpatients, outpatients or through the Home Health Department
  • Therapists provide services to the community on-site, at special events, give wellness and injury prevention presentations and conduct ergonomic evaluations at local companies and businesses
  • Equipment available includes: strength training equipment, the ADL (assisted daily living) lab and the unweighing device for rehabilitation of strokes, head injuries and spinal stenosis
