Emergency Preparedness

Emergency preparedness consists of advanced plans and actions necessary to respond to a possible natural or man-made disaster. Preparation of an Emergency Disaster Plan is one factor of emergency preparedness, but plans to provide for water, food, and sanitation needs should also be developed.

Tyler Healthcare Center is a member of SWEPT (Southwest Emergency Preparedness Team) along with 23 other hospitals. While Tyler Healthcare Center works with SWEPT and has policies in place regarding natural and man-made disasters, we want our families in the community to have access to information to aid them in having their own emergency preparedness plans at home.

The Emergency Preparedness Guide is a brochure that is a five month plan to prepare your family to survive an emergency.
