
MindBody Programs
MindBody Programming at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center includes classes in Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Yoga and Mat Pilates. These classes are perfect for stress reduction and relaxation as well as physical conditioning. They differ from standard group exercise classes in that they are built on a foundation of mental focus and breathing to create a more balanced approach to fitness for diversity.
By focusing on breath, posture, visualization, and positive energy channeling, these classes focus on the process of the activity, not necessarily the outcome of the activity. In other words, they aim to create an experience that integrates and enhances physical, mental and emotional wellness.
