Having treatments available locally helps cut down on travel time and cost.

In addition to administering chemotherapy treatments, nursing staff also update the patient's oncologist and call to check on the patient after each treatment. They provide emotional support, education about side effects and additional resources that may benefit the patient. Follow-up lab work can be done at Avera Marshall as well as CT, MRI and other diagnostic tests.
