Morningside Heights Care Center emphasizes continuous quality care in their dedication to the elderly. We offer all private rooms and provide 24-hour skilled nursing services to our residents. Nursing staff consists of RNs, LPNs, CNAs and TMAs.

Primary Care

Morningside Heights offers primary care, which provides for greater consistency and accountability for staff and residents. A specialized 12-bed memory care unit offers care to individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses. Ventilator services are available for chronic but stable ventilator-dependent individuals. Restorative rehab services are also provided by long term care nursing staff.

Community Life Department

The Community Life department works to ease the transition to nursing home life and make the new resident and family comfortable in the new surroundings. The social worker serves as one of many resident advocates and as an information and referral source for residents, families and staff.

Community Life staff also plan and lead group activities for all residents. These include activities that promote physical, cognitive, social and emotional health. A computer lab and e-mail accessibility is also available.

For residents who are unable to attend group activities, one-to-one services include:
