Our Technology
Avera St. Luke's Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory provides invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease and related syndromes.
Our interventional cardiologists offer stent placement and angioplasty, offering a new level of cardiology services for people in this region.
We can diagnose and treat peripheral vascular disease with the latest techniques, using cutting-edge technologies and equipment like the Siemens Artis Flat Panel Imaging system and the newest versions of recording technologies.
Our Experienced Team
The Cardiovascular/Special Procedures team of experts works to bring you the absolute best in cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, and pain management care and includes:
- Cardiologists
- Interventional radiologists
- Pain management specialists
- Cardiovascular specialists, including nurses and technologists
Avera St. Luke’s Cath Lab does about 450 cardiac procedures each year, as well as another 150 vascular exams.
Together, the physicians of Avera Cardiology Specialists and North Central Heart Institute work with Avera St. Luke’s Hospital to care for more than 400 cardiac patients each month in the clinic and hospital settings. In addition, they support cardiac outreach clinics in surrounding communities. Cardiac education is provided for both the public and health care professionals through symposiums, grand rounds, and public health forums.
