Nursing students and Avera employees can take advantage of an innovative approach to financial assistance that links scholarship money with career opportunities through the Avera Resources for Careers in Health (ARCH) scholarship.
Investing in the Future of Health Care
The ARCH Scholarship provides financial assistance for current employees of Avera McKennan Hospital & University Center who are enrolled in a College of Nursing BSN/BAN program. (This award does not include RN to BSN/BAN/MSN programs.)
If you’re selected as a recipient, funds to assist with your approved academic expenses are paid directly to your educational institution or its foundation on your behalf.
Upon award acceptance, you’re also committed to six months of employment for every $2,500 of financial assistance received. If you leave school or choose to work elsewhere you’ll simply repay the scholarship as a loan.
To maintain your award, a minimum of 36 hours per pay period is required during each six-month committed time frame.
