About Us
Avera Medical Group Liver Disease team specializes in the care and treatment of liver disease, including Hepatitis A, B and C, acute liver disease, cirrhosis of the liver, hepatobiliary cancers and pre- and post-transplant care.
The center conducts weekly Hepatobiliary Team Conferences. The multidisciplinary conference brings together experts in the following areas:
- Hepatobiliary/transplant surgeons
- Hepatologists
- Interventional and diagnostic radiologists
- Pathologists
- Infectious disease physicians
- Oncologists
Imaging studies (such as MRI, CT) and diagnostic procedures (such as liver biopsy and ERCP), are carefully reviewed to make expert recommendations and drive the safest and most effective patient treatment plan possible. Referring physicians are invited to participate in the conferences (in person or via teleconference), and will receive a summary report detailing the comprehensive plan of care for their patients.
