Avera Transplant Institute provides South Dakota's only bone marrow transplant program. Since 2001, Avera Transplant Institute and the Avera Cancer Institute have been caring for patients with leukemia, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, lymphoma, aplastic anemia and other disorders. We have the expertise and technology to help individuals with cancer and non-cancerous conditions fight disease.
Our bone marrow transplant services include Autologous and Allogenic (related and unrelated donor) transplant. Click on a link below to learn more about these.
Using advanced transplant technologies, transplanted bone marrow cells are key to fighting disease, along with utilizing high doses of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy through the renowned Avera Cancer Institute. Outcomes of the bone marrow transplant center are consistent with international standards for disease-free survival, treatment-related toxicity and engraftment of transplanted cells.
