No pregnancy is the same; whether it’s your first or your third experience, you will notice differences. This should be one of the most wonderful times in your life but as with any new adventure, you’re bound to have questions. We’re ready to experience it all with you in a group atmosphere, with women on the same journey, due around the same time as you.

Avera Women's Centering Pregnancy cost

There is no additional cost for this service. At each group visit, a co-pay is collected. Call your insurance provider to find out the exact amount you will be responsible for.

The Centering Pregnancy sessions offer:

10, Two Hour Sessions

  • One, two hour session every four weeks starting with week 16 and going through week 28.
  • One, two hour session every two weeks starting with week 30 and going through week 40.
  • You’ll receive a schedule of the group times before you even begin. This makes it easy to arrange child care or meet work obligations.

Individual assessments/prenatal checkups

Don’t worry about losing one-on-one time with your OB/GYN or certified nurse midwife. Time is set aside for each woman to privately hear the heartbeat, review progress, share concerns and ask questions. You will also be able to take part in your own assessments by weighing yourself, taking your blood pressure, determining your due date and making chart entries.

Peer Support

Sometimes your best resource is another woman. Through the group setting, you’ll be able to get feedback, participate in discussions and share knowledge, experience and information.
