Jeffrey Liudahl, MD
Dr. Jeffrey J. Liudahl has practiced in the Yankton community since 1988.
He is a native of Watertown, SD and a 1981 graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.
Following two years of residency training at Sioux Valley Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls he completed a four year residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV.
Dr. Liudahl enjoys all aspects of his practice, especially seeing the smile on someone’s face when he has been able to help them get relief from a chronic or severe problem.
When he isn’t practicing medicine, you will probably find him hunting, fishing, or otherwise enjoying the outdoors.
Matthew Rumsey, AuD., CCC-A
Matthew Rumsey, Au.D., CCC-A joined Avera Yankton Ear Nose & Throat, P.C.as the audiologist for the practice on June 5, 2006. Matthew received his Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
He then earned his Doctor of Audiology from Central Michigan University. Matthew then spent 5 years working for an otologist in Omaha, NE dealing with difficult hearing problems. Matthew has been professionally active in various organizations including being a founding officer of the National Foundation for Future Doctors of Audiology and a regional representative for Nebraska Speech, Hearing, and Language Association.
He has extensive experience with a broad spectrum of services including hearing evaluations, hearing aid sales and service, evoked potential testing, vestibular assessment, and inter-operative monitoring. When asked what he enjoys most about being an Audiologist, he said “The satisfaction gained in improving people’s quality of life.”Matthew is originally from Madison, Nebraska.
Matthew and his wife, Kari, and their children, Cole, Ben, and Shae enjoy spending time outdoors. Stop in at our office in the Avera Pavillion at 409 Summit and meet Matt.
