Avera St. Luke’s Massage Therapy Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Open House
ABERDEEN (Aug. 1, 2013) - Avera St. Luke’s Massage Therapy is turning 25! The public is invited to an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, to help celebrate this 25th anniversary with cake and ice cream, massage giveaways and more.
The party will be held at Massage Therapy’s new home at Avera St. Luke’s Therapy Center in Aberdeen, 805 First Ave. SE. Staff members, including Massage Therapy Coordinator Rebecca Dykema and Sylvia “Fordie” Ford, who’s been doing massages at Avera St. Luke’s since the department opened back in 1988, will be available to answer questions and show off their facilities.
Massage therapy has been shown to help relieve stress-related headaches, muscle tension and stiffness, decrease pain and swelling, improve circulation, reduce blood pressure and provide greater joint flexibility. Avera St. Luke’s massage options start with a 15-minute session and can go up to 90 minutes for a specialized treatment.
