Avera Marshall Begins Partnership with Big Stone Therapies, Inc.

In the spirit of community collaboration and service excellence, Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center will begin a partnership arrangement with Big Stone Therapies, Inc. to provide management of rehabilitation services. Avera Marshall is a full service hospital and long term care facility, and Big Stone Therapies, Inc. is a company specializing in rehab services.

“We are confident that this new partnership will allow patients more choices,” says Angela Chesley, vice president of patient care services at Avera Marshall. “This is an example of two strong programs joining forces to bring even more to the community.”

People in the region still have a choice of where they receive their services, and this new partnership will streamline existing services while allowing expansion of additional offerings for people in the region. Both locations, Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center and Big Stone Therapies located at the Market Street Mall, offer physical therapy and occupational therapy services and together have recently brought back full speech therapy services.

New and expanded services are being developed including senior rehabilitation care and inpatient/outpatient orthopedic/neurologic rehabilitation.
