The annual memorial service and interment to remember babies lost through miscarriage and stillbirth, a gesture of caring from Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in cooperation with Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home and Aberdeen’s Riverside Cemetery, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at the cemetery, 1706 W. Open House Showcases Avera St. Luke’s Medical Care Division Remodel
Completion of Avera St. Luke’s Hospital’s Third Floor - Medical Care Division remodeling and redesign will be celebrated with an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 9. This event will include a tour, discussion of upgrades and patient-focused improvements, plus refreshments. A blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 2:45 p.m.
The $1.2 million project is highlighted by decentralized nurses’ stations and a new floor design that increases effectiveness in the delivery of care, improves patient safety, reduces staff stress, and ultimately improves outcomes and the overall quality of health care that Avera St. Luke’s provides.
