Caregivers Support Group Scheduled
A Caregivers Support Group was established so individuals who provide care for a spouse, family member, or other loved one can meet with other caregivers for fellowship and to share ideas and provide emotional support for one another. Meetings are held once a month at the Avera Queen of Peace Hospitality House at 600 East 6th Avenue in Mitchell.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m. Brandi Wilson, Social Services Coordinator at Avera Brady, facilitates the group. This month’s speaker will be Wendy Figland from Mitchell Area Safehouse, who will discuss “Elder Abuse.” Refreshments will be served and there will be time for socializing and discussion. Those attending are asked to please park on the north side of the Hospitality House.
