Dr. Fritz now Fellow in American College of Physicians

John R. Fritz, MD, vice president of Medical Affairs at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, was recently elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians. Fellowship is an honor achieved by those recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment and demonstrated scholarship.

Fellows in ACP are a special group of doctors who are dedicated to continuing education in medical practice, teaching or research. Fellowship is an honorary designation given to recognize ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine. Fellows are authorized to use the letters FACP in connection with their professional activities.

Dr. Fritz is a graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa in Des Moines. He is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
