Nut Crust
Serves: 8
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup finely minced nuts of choice
- 1 dash salt
- 3 tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup white flour
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2-4 tbsp cold water
Directions
- Use pastry cutter or food processor to blend nuts, butter, salt and flour together in bowl.
- Slowly drizzle in cold water and use fork to blend. When the dough sticks together then you've added enough water.
- Roll out the dough and form your crust. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
Makes 1 9-inch crust
Excellent alternative to a pie crust!
