Nut Crust

Serves: 8 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup finely minced nuts of choice
  • 1 dash salt
  • 3 tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup white flour
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2-4 tbsp cold water

Directions

  1. Use pastry cutter or food processor to blend nuts, butter, salt and flour together in bowl.
  2. Slowly drizzle in cold water and use fork to blend.  When the dough sticks together then you've added enough water.
  3. Roll out the dough and form your crust.  Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.

Makes 1 9-inch crust

Excellent alternative to a pie crust!
