Over the past 25 years, the Avera Race Against Breast Cancer has succeeded in raising more than $2.7 million to fight cancer and support local patients.

This show highlights the 25th anniversary of the Avera Race Against Breast Cancer. Since 1989, 100 percent of donations have stayed local to benefit cancer services as well as cancer patients and their families in Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas.
Avera Race funds have created:
- Cancer Resource Library
- Care Store Salon and comprehensive wig program
- Region’s only cancer rehab fitness program
- Digital mammography services at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center
- Breast health educational materials for women in the Sioux Falls community
