An Art Exhibition - November 2011 Show
The Guardian Angels exhibition is an art show on display now at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls. The show can be viewed in the Prairie Center, on the region's only Community Digital Art Gallery. We want the Community Art Wall to be a place where the art community can showcase their talent and together inspire our community. We look forward to featuring your art.
If you are interested in contacting an artist from the show, please email us at art@avera.org.

Where Do Guardian Angels Originate? The Romans believed in local deities who watched over a specific town or region. Each deity had different duties to protect the fields, stockpiles of food or weapons, or individual people. The Greeks believed in spirits who would watch over people. An example is Hermes, a winged messenger.
Following upon its Jewish heritage, Christianity understands angels to be messengers of God and to mediate between God and each person. It is believed that every soul is assigned a guardian angel at conception.
Definition: “Someone who is specially devoted to the interests of another.”- Chambers 21st Century Dictionary
