In April 2010, Shelby Ullom was born at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center at just 23 weeks, a little over half gestation. The odds of her survival were not good. However, thanks to the care of the nurses and staff in the NICU at Avera McKennan, and the courage and strength of Baby Shelby, she is a happy little girl "with just more accessories," according to her mother Suzanne. Watch this extraordinary, heart-wrenching video as we talk to Shelby's mother and see Shelby's journey firsthand.
