The Healing Power of Art

SculptureWalk at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center is a one-mile exploratory journey of unique, hand-crafted works of art. The exhibit, which features 24 original sculptures by world-class artists, enhances creative thinking and enriches the aesthetic experience. As you stroll the hallways and spaces throughout Avera McKennan, you'll be engrossed in an awe-inspiring and one of a kind experience that provokes the mind and rejuvenates the spirit.

About SculptureWalk

The sculptures, which are owned by the artists, are on loan to the exhibit for one year. We encourage you to cast a vote for your favorite sculpture through paper ballot or by voting online. Avera McKennan will purchase the sculpture that receives the most votes and add it to our permanent art collection.

A Proud Tradition

As we head into our fifth year, the Avera McKennan SculptureWalk continues to recognize the vital role art plays in healing the whole person—body, mind and spirit. For this reason, we fill our environments with various types of artworks, such as: sculpture, paintings, hand-blown glass and photography.

As host of the first indoor SculptureWalk in the city of Sioux Falls, we kindly welcome you and hope you enjoy these beautiful works of art.

Sioux Falls SculptureWalk 2012

SculptureWalk 2012, in downtown Sioux Falls, is an international exhibit of original sculptures created by world-class artists from around the United States and the world.
