17th Annual Great Tables Luncheon

Ways to Attend

"Great Tables" offers an opportunity to dine with friends, meet new people and showcase your design talents through fellowship and fundraising. There are several ways you can be a part of this wonderful event:

• Be a table hostess. We need volunteers willing to decorate a "great table" for eight. Pick your table theme and decorate with items of your choice. Past themes have included holiday, sports and travel amongst many others.
• Attend as a guest. We need to fill our seats and would love for you and your friends to attend as guests. Have fun and make new friends or request a hostess table to be seated at. Tables will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please RSVP by calling 322-8900 to make sure we have a seat for you.

Thank you for hosting a table at the 17th Annual "Great Tables" luncheon on Saturday, October 15th 2011! Please read below for additional details.

Event Information

• The luncheon will be held at Central Baptist Church, located at 3102 W. Ralph Rogers Road.
• Please park in the south parking lot located at the rear of the church. You will see double doors leading into the foyer--the gym is located to the left side.
• You may begin decorating your table at 8:30 am. Table viewing begins at 11:00 am. To respect other hostesses, we ask that your guests do not come into the gym until the table viewing begins.

Hostess Information

• Print a checklist of items to assist with preparation of decorating your table.
• Four utility carts will be available for unloading and transporting to the gym.
• A volunteer will be stationed at this location to greet you, help answer any questions and assist with transporting.
• There will be event tickets placed at your table for your guests. You guests will be asked to turn in their completed tickets at the beginning of the food line to be eligible for door prizes.

As part of the event, a small presentation will take place to portray the needs of the Avera Health Care Clinic and how their gifts will make an impact. Donation forms will be handed out during the program. Please collect the donations for your table, place them in the envelope provided, and turn them in to the volunteers at the door.

About Clinic

At Avera McKennan, we believe in delivering the same level and quality of care to everyone, without limits or variations, based on age, race, financial status or employment. To live out our beliefs, the Avera Health Care Clinic opened its doors to provide free health screenings and medical care to men, women and children in the Sioux Falls area who don't have health insurance and are financially unable to cover the cost of routine medical care.

The programs at the free clinic reduce the cost of care for the uninsured by focusing on preventative care and addressing health care needs before they become health care emergencies. If these services were not available, patients would receive very little preventative care, make frequent visits to emergency rooms and require costly care at the expense of taxpayers.

• Or choose to bring personal care items for patients in need. Items may include: shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, etc. A donation box will be set up at the event or items can be dropped off at the foundation office.

100% of your gifts will benefit the lives and health of the under served population in our community. "Great Tables" offers an opportunity to make a free-will contribution. Donation slips will be available at your table and collected by your table hostess.
