Attendance
Students are required to attend all scheduled classes and
assigned clinical rotations unless they have an approved absence.
Student clinical rotations and courses are offered primarily
Monday through Friday, 7:30 – 4:00, but will vary depending on the clinical
assignment. Approximately 10% of the
clinical rotations will be spent in evening and weekend assignments. Students will not spend more than 40 hours
per week.
Vacation Time (80 hours each year)
- First Year:
Week 1:
40 hours over the Christmas holiday
Week 2:
40 hours scheduled by the student, preferably June through August
- Second Year:
Week 1:
40 hours over the Christmas holiday
Week 2:
40 hours scheduled the last week in May
Holidays
There are six holidays recognized by the School of
Radiologic Technology and the students will have no assigned clinical rotations
or class the following days:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving and the Friday after
- Christmas
Personal Days
Each
radiology students is allowed 5 personal days (40 hours) per year. A personal day may be used as additional vacation, illness, doctor appointments, leave of absence, or bereavement leave.
