Mary Wolf, MS, LPC-MH, QMHP, CEAP
EAP & Outpatient Services Director
Mary holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University. She has worked with Behavioral Health Outpatient Services and EAP since 1996. Mary's areas of focus and expertise are with EA programs, workplace issues, executive/life coaching, and critical incident stress management services.
Amy Hartman, MA, NCC, LPC-MH, ACS, QMHP, CCDCIII
Manager, Employee Assistance Program
Amy graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Community Agency Counseling. She is a Member of the Certification Board for Alcohol and Drug Professionals, USD Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board, and serves on the State Steering Committee for Co-occurring Disorders. She has over 14 years of direct client care service and management experience, and a diverse background working with adolescent and adult, mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Greg Brostad, MA, LPC, QMHP, CDCT
Greg received his Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Wayne State College. Greg is providing EAP and outpatient (mental health and addiction recovery) services with the Avera team. His areas of focus and expertise are in working with addiction issues, co-occurring issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and personality disorders for adolescents, adults and families.
James W. Green, CCDCII
Jim's graduate studies were at South Dakota State University and he has extensive experience working in the addiction field. Jim is currently an addiction specialist and EAP provider with the Avera team. His areas of expertise are in alcohol and drug issues (adolescent and adult) and Jim also serves as a trainer for workplace drug and alcohol issues.
Shane Hamilton, MSW, CSW-PIP
Shane graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Master of Social Work degree. He provides EAP and outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and families. His areas of expertise are in disruptive or oppositional behaviors, trauma, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, anger, depression and abuse.
Benjamin Kohls, MS, LPC-MH, NCC
Ben graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a Master of Science degree in Counseling. He is a Board Certified Christian Counselor and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of South Dakota. He has clinical experince as an inpatient and community-based therapist, providing individual, group and family therapy. Ben currently provides EAP and outpatient mental health services. His clinical expertise is in working with issues of defiance and aggression in adolescents, trauma, spiritual concerns, couples and relationship issues, as well as anxiety, depression and men's issues.
Patricia Lindemann, MS, LPC
Pat holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Northern State University. Pat provides EAP and outpatient mental health services. She has worked within the public school system as a counselor, providing therapy to adolescents and adults. Her areas of interest and expertise are disruptive or oppositional behaviors in adolescents, school issues, parenting, blended family issues, depression, anxiety, abuse issues, trauma, EMDR, and work-related concerns.
Donald D. McCoy, MS, SPHR, CLDC
Donald graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and from Kansas State University with a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He has extensive experience in human resource management, training and development; and has been trained in harassment avoidance, conflict mediation, and leader development coaching. He has expertise in the development and presentation of training programs and a strong interest in working with companies to eliminate drama and create a civil workplace. Don serves as an Employee Assistance Program Trainer/Consultant.
Amanda McKnelly, MS, CCDCIII
Amanda received her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University. Amanda is providing EAP and outpatient (mental health and addiction recovery) services with the Avera team. Her focus and expertise are working with addiction issues and providing therapy for adults, adolescents and health professionals.
Jeri L. Nelson, MSW, CSW-PIP
Jeri received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas. Jeri is providing outpatient mental health and EAP services for adults, children, and adolescents. Areas of interest include families with addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
Leah Rath, MA, LPC, CCDCIII
Leah received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of South Dakota. Leah is providing EAP and outpatient (mental health and addiction recovery) services with the Avera team. Her areas of focus and expertise are working with addiction, depression, anxiety and stress management, and providing therapy with adolescents and adults.
Hiedi L. Roberts, MSW, CSW-PIP
Hiedi graduated from the University of Iowa with a Master of Social Work degree. She has worked with Avera Behavioral Health as an inpatient and outpatient therapist, providing individual, group and family therapy. Her areas of interest are therapy with children and adults for stress management, building positive relations, depression and anxiety.
Melissa Roby, MS, LPC, NCC, CCDCIII
Melissa received her Master of Science degree in Agency Counseling from South Dakota State University. She is providing EAP and outpatient (mental health and addiction recovery) services with the Avera Team. Her areas of focus and expertise are working with adolescents and adults for co-occurring issues of addiction, depression, anxiety and stress management, and is trained in Moral Reconation Therapy.
Angela Sadowski, MSW, LCSW
Angela graduated from Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, with a Master of Social Work degree. Angela currently provides EAP and outpatient mental heath services. Her areas of interest include working with families, adults and adolescents with concerns of depression, anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, parenting, domestic abuse, and women's issues.
Latanda Salmen, MSW, CSW-PIP
Latanda graduated from Augsburg College with a Master of Social Work degree. Latana provides EAP and outpatient mental health services. Her areas of clinical experience and interest are depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Attention Deficient/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, self-injury behavior, grief and loss, domestic violence and child abuse.
Lana J. Smith, MA, LMFT, QMHP, CCDCIII
Lana received her Master of Arts Degree from the North American Baptist Seminary through the Marriage and Family Therapy program. She worked in the Behavioral Chronic Pain Program at Avera McKennan for over ten years. Lana currently provides EAP and outpatient (mental health and addiction recovery) services. Her clinical expertise is marriage and family therapy, individual therapy, stress management and biofeedback, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment issues, sexual abuse and depression.

Mary Ellen received her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University. Mary Ellen has been a therapist and EAP provider and her areas of focus and expertise are working with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, body image, marital issues, communication and conflict resolution.
