Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer

Nutrition

Nutrition is a vital component of cancer recovery. A nutritionist can work closely with cancer patients to help provide support while they suffer from a number of side effects during cancer treatment, such as changes in taste or smell and loss of appetite. They can also help put together a nutrition plan during treatment to help provide more energy, improve the body’s ability to tolerate side effects, and speed up recovery.

Join Jessie Muth, dietitian at the Avera Cancer Institute, as she discusses how proper nutrition can help assist patients in their fight against cancer and help with any negative side effects of treatment.
