Gentle Touch - Congregate Living Facility

Gentle Touch is a congregate living facility and is licensed for 9 residents. The Gentle Touch is supervised by a Supervisor and staff who assist residents 24 hours a day.

Independent Residents

Residents residing in this facility must be independent, capable of self-preservation, and be able to self-administer medications, and able to self-direct all activities. Examples of independent functions:

• Bathing - Requires no assistance or receives only limited assistance with bath set-up.
• Dressing - Gets clothes and gets completely dressed without assistance or requires limited assistance with dressing because of limited mobility.
• Feeding - Feeds self without assistance or feeds self except for receiving limited assistance like cutting meat or buttering bread.
• Transfer - Moves in and out of bed as well as in and out of chair without assistance.
• Toileting - Goes to bathroom, cleans self, controls continence completely by self and arranges clothing without assistance.
• Responsibility of own medications - Resident is responsible for taking medications in the correct dosage at the current times independently.
