Platte Health Center Avera would like to help you make your visit a comfortable one. We want you to receive the highest quality of care during your hospital stay or when visiting loved ones or friends in the hospital. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to ask our friendly staff.

We know that hospitalization is never an entirely pleasant experience, but we will do our best to make you as comfortable as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask your physician or your nurse.

Avera Care Cards are a quick, convenient way for you to send a loved one or a friend a message to let them know you care. E-mails are delivered during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

We understand that medical information about you is personal. We are committed to protecting medical information about you. We create a record of the care and services you receive to provide quality care and to comply with legal requirements.

We are required by law to: Keep medical information about you private, give you Notice of our legal duties and privacy practices with respect to medical information about you and follow the terms of the Notice that is currently in effect.


All visitors should exercise courtesy and cleanliness when visiting with patients. If you suspect you may be coming down with something, please refrain from entering patient areas of the hospital. Additionally, if you are susceptible to illness, it may not be a good idea to visit.
