Nancy was raised in Mitchell, SD and attended Mitchell High School. She later attended Mitchell Technical Institute and Dakota Wesleyan to obtain her nursing degree. Nancy joined the Occupational Medicine Team February 2012 as a part-time onsite nurse. She helps to administer drug and alcohol testing, hearing tests, physicals, patient injury care, and many other healthcare related duties.
Nancy enjoys skiing, golfing and traveling for these events when the weather and time permits.

What is your favorite food?
Don’t really have a favorite, I pretty much like all foods but, the spicier the better.
If you do volunteer work; tell us a little bit about what you do and why.
I assist my parents and friends in their community service and civic activities.
What keeps you going during the day?
Skiing, golf, tennis and travel.
If you could have any pet, what would it be?
A de-scented skunk.
What would be your dream vacation?
Anywhere on a snow covered mountain.

You are leaving the airport and there is a taxi and a limo both at the same price. Which do you choose?
Taxi – more of an adventure.
Would you rather sleep in an extra hour or watch the news in the morning?
Sleep – can always find news on the internet.
What do you do on Saturdays?
Muffins or Pancakes?
Muffins – especially chocolate ones.
Favorite place to eat?
Small, out of the way places in ethnic neighborhoods.
Have not seen a movie in years.

What do you like best about working for Avera Occupational Medicine-Mitchell?
Working in a team oriented atmosphere, learning and implementing new concepts. I also enjoy the diversity of the patients and being able to assist both employees and employers in reaching and maintaining their goals and objectives.
