Our therapeutic massage therapists are available to provide relaxation and relief from muscle tension and stress. Therapeutic massage can be an important part of a personal health and fitness program. Massage has powerful healing qualities that can help counteract the debilitating effects of under use and overuse of our bodies by mobilizing the body’s resources.

Your First Visit & Treatment
Your first appointment will begin with a short interview regarding your current physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress level and painful areas (please allow additional time). You will be asked to undress to your level of comfort. A sheet or towel will be provided to cover any areas which are not being worked on. All massages take place in a heated room on a comfortable, heated table. Soft music is played to help you relax. A high quality massage oil or lotion is used to assist in relieving tension of tired and sore muscles. Biofreeze and peppermint oil may be applied as needed at no extra charge.
Our Licensed Massage Therapists
Our therapeutic massage therapists are graduates of credentialed massage therapy schools and are licensed with the South Dakota Board of Massage Therapy. They have received extensive training in several modalities and are skilled in a variety of services.

We want you to benefit from the full treatment session, so be sure to arrive 10 minutes early to allow for check-in and dressing time. If you will be late, please call us. If you are late, this will shorten your session.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received the day before a scheduled appointment to avoid charges for the treatment. A cancellation fee of $25 will apply for the same day cancellation.
Insurance & Payment
At this time all of our services are private pay. We do not bill insurance companies for our services. We would be happy to provide you with a receipt for you to submit if you wish. We accept Visa, Discover and Master Card.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates may be purchased for any of our services and expire one-year from the date of purchase.
Retail Products
We offer many products for sale including lotions, body butters, cooling/warming eye patches, herbal sinus pillows, peppermint essential oil, Biofreeze, robes and more.

Avera Sacred Heart Massage Therapy is located within the Hospital Campus (501 Summit St.) on the 4th floor of the Benedictine Center.
