If you’re a competitive athlete, you can improve your speed, strength, conditioning and sport-specific skills by participating in one of Avera Sports’ skill development programs.

Sport-Specific Performance Training

Throughout the Upper Midwest, you’ll find a variety of training programs and locations – from Avera Acceleration programs in Aberdeen, Mitchell and Yankton to Athletic Republic programs around the Sioux Falls area.

No matter what time of the year – pre-season, in-season or off-season – you’ll benefit from the guidance and coaching of our expert staff dedicated to helping you become a more competitive athlete in your specific sport.

Athletic Republic

Take advantage of an Athletic Republic sports training program to maximize your time and effort to become a stronger, more explosive athlete. Each program includes:

  • Originally designed equipment that is exclusive to Athletic Republic programs
  • Copyrighted training protocols based on scientific literature
  • Small trainer-to-athlete ratio (1:4)
  • Ability to train an entire team at once

Choose from a variety of sport-specific programs such as baseball, basketball, endurance, football, golf, hockey, soccer, softball, track, triathlon or volleyball.

Proven Results

On average, Athletic Republic training participants experience:

  • A two-tenths improvement in 40-yard dash time
  • Eight-hundredths improvement in 10-yard dash
  • Two inches improvement in vertical jump
  • Fifteen-hundredths improvement in pro agility
  • Reduced recovery times between intense periods of exercise by up to 50%
  • Gains of up to 20% in certain strength and agility assessments during your first time through our training

Duration of Training Programs

While our traditional training programs are six to eight weeks in length and consist of three 90-minute workouts per week, our staff can develop a training program to meet your needs and fit your schedule. Whether you’re between sporting seasons with only three or four weeks to train, or looking for a year-round training program, we have the expertise to address your needs.
