Cancer Navigators serve as a vital extension of your cancer care team. When you call the Navigation Center, you’ll connect with a registered nurse or master’s level social worker who specializes in cancer care in rural areas and will help guide you through the process of diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
Newly Diagnosed Cancer Patients
Although receiving a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, you can always call us to talk. We’ll help you find the closest oncologist, Avera Cancer Institute locations and even facilities with bone marrow transplant, clinical trials and genomic medicine. We can also connect you to dietitians, financial counselors, physical therapists, counselors, and spiritual care providers.
Current Cancer Patients
Undergoing cancer treatment is challenging in every aspect – physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you have questions about your treatment options, symptoms or side effects, you can request assistance from our nurse navigator for each step of your cancer journey.
