Convenient & Confidential Tests
At each Avera QuickLabs location, you can choose from a variety of available tests, including:
- Blood typing - $35
Determines your ABO and Rh blood type.
- Complete blood count (CBC) - $10
Determines your general health status including anemia, infection or inflammation.
- Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) - $25
Determines your general health status. Evaluates the body’s electrolyte balance and/or the status of several major organ systems. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours beforehand is recommended.
- General wellness screen - $40
Offers a comprehensive screening of your health status including CMP, CBC, lipid panel and TSH. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours beforehand is recommended.
- Glucose - $10
Determines whether your blood sugar is within a healthy range for a single point in time. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours beforehand is recommended.
- Hemoglobin A1C - $20
Monitors the average amount of sugar in the blood over the past two to three months.
- Lipid panel - $25
Assesses the risk of cardiovascular disease. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours beforehand is recommended.
- Thyroid (TSH) - $30
Evaluates thyroid gland function, hype (too little) hormone and hyper (too much) hormone.
- Vitamin D (25, hydroxy) - $50
Determines if you have a vitamin D deficiency or if you’re adequately receiving vitamin D supplementation.
You can have confidence in the accuracy of your testing, which is done by the Avera McKennan laboratory, a College of American Pathologists accredited laboratory and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) federally licensed laboratory.
How Soon Will I Receive the Results?
If you're an Avera patient, laboratory test results will be available within hours on your AveraChart. In addition, your results will be mailed directly to you within a few business days. For further explanation of the testing results, visit Lab Tests Online.
Although you don’t need to schedule a provider visit to receive the lab testing and results, you’re encouraged to schedule an appointment with your provider if you have any abnormal test results.
Do I Need to Fast Before My Test?
In order to receive the most accurate results, some tests might require fasting – or refraining from eating and/or drinking certain foods for a set amount of time. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours is recommended for the following tests:
- Comprehensive metabolic panel
- General wellness screen
- Lipid panel
What Kind of Payment Is Accepted?
Check or credit card payment is due at the time of service. Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid will not be billed for Avera QuickLab services.
