Certified Athletic Trainers
Certified athletic trainers can provide athletic training services at practices, games and even tournaments. As specialists in the prevention, recognition and rehabilitation of injuries incurred by athletes, our athletic trainers administer immediate emergency care and use their knowledge of each athlete’s injuries to develop a treatment program based on medical, exercise and sports sciences.
Athletic Training for Sports Teams
Partnerships and affiliations with schools across the region allow student athletes to receive sports medicine services, as well as no-cost sideline care, during practices and games. Avera Sports serves as the official athletic training team for schools, including:

Proactive Care for Concussions
When an athlete receives a hit or blow to the head, count on Avera’s proven concussion care protocol to help doctors, athletic trainers, nurses and coaches diagnose and manage concussions and make safe return-to-play decisions for athletes.
