Description

A Live CME Videoconference with Edgard Bendaly, MD, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics/Internal Medicine, The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Educational Goal : To provide continuing education to pediatric health care professionals on relevant clinical issues

 

Objectives:

1. Name some of the procedures that are performed by a specialized pediatric cardiac interventionist in the congenital cardiac catheterization laboratory

2. Understand the indications of the common procedures performed by a specialized pediatric cardiac interventionist in the congenital cardiac catheterization laboratory

3. Understand the importance of the diagnostic cardiac catheterization in future managment planning of the patient with congenital cardiac disease

4. Understand the importance of the interventional cardiac catheterization in completely treating, or palliating until the next surgery, the patient with congenital cardiac disease
