Description

A Live CME Videoconference with Shelly M. Grinde, MA, CCC-SLP, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine; Associate Director of Services, Center for Disabilities, The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine

Educational Goal:  To provide continuing education to pediatric health care professionals on relevant clinical issues and advances in pediatrics.

 

Objectives:

1. Define brain injury terms associated with the educational system

2. Identify causes, incidence, and risk factors of traumatic brain injury

3. Identify at least 3 classroom strategies for working with students with traumatic brain injury

4. Identify at least 3 local, state and/or national resources for individuals with traumatic brain injury and their family
