The basis for our work is compassionate care through gifts, stewardship of their use, and growth of our regional health care. The role of Avera St. Luke's Foundation is one of encouraging and accepting gifts to supplement our programs.
Your gift will touch lives and assist in a mission that responds to God’s calling for a healing ministry for all those in need. Donations have provided life-saving medication, lodging to be near loved ones, transportation, educational programs and materials, and much more.
'Roses ... Just Because' Sales Help Fund Hospice
Sales for the 15th annual North Plains Hospice “Roses … Just Because” fundraising campaign help ensure the future of Avera St. Luke's North Plains Hospice, whose mission is to provide hope, care and comfort to the terminally ill and their loved ones. In 2013, local volunteers sold a total of 1,572 dozen roses in support of this campaign and to help other worthy causes in area communities! Thank you for your support!
Tree of Life Ceremony
North Plains Hospice holds its Tree of Life ceremony each December in Aberdeen at Avera St. Luke's Education Center. A short music program and a ceremony help us remember North Plains Hospice patients. Porcelain ornaments inscribed with a loved one's name are available with a donation of $25 or more. All proceeds benefit the hospice program. Call Avera St. Luke's Foundation at 605-622-5887.
Golf Tournament
Avera St. Luke’s Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by Avera St. Luke’s, Ken’s Superfair Foods – Rhodes Anderson Insurance and Dakota Broadcasting, is held each June at Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen. The 2012 tournament raised more than $10,000 for cancer patients and families at Avera St. Luke’s!
