“Every Day to Gourmet” Cookbook
Avera St. Luke's is pleased to introduce our “Every Day to Gourmet Cookbook," a compilation of “tried and true” recipes from our employees and volunteers. The book contains 350 recipes in six areas of cooking:
- Appetizers and Snacks
- Breads and Breakfasts
- The Lighter Side
- Sweet Treats
- Auxiliary Guest House Recipes
These books came about because of numerous requests for recipes during one of our holiday events. There are many new and enticing recipes for any cook to try.
How do You Order?
Each book sells for $10. You can buy your “Every Day to Gourmet Cookbook” at:

Here’s a sample recipe:
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup oil
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp dry ginger
1 tsp brown sugar
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 3 lb. chicken, cut up, or 6 breasts, halved
Place chicken in a gallon, plastic Ziplock bag. Place bag and chicken in a pan. Pour marinade in bag with chicken. Place in refrigerator for 4 hours. Rotate bag every hour. May also marinade overnight.
Grill on outdoor grill or broil and brown in oven.
