Volunteers Play Important Roles
Our volunteers at Avera St. Luke's become part of our team. Their work is designed to complement the work of employees. Volunteers can supply many special services that enhance a patient’s sense of well-being and their attitude toward getting well.
Volunteers also serve in the area of public relations. They are ambassadors who can explain the organization to the public and bring feedback to us from the community.
For you, the volunteer, this program offers the self-satisfying reward of giving your time, energy and concern to those who need help. We invite you to consider joining our volunteer team.
If you are interested in volunteering at Avera St. Luke’s, and for current openings, please contact Laura Sangster at 605-622-5140. The Volunteer Office is located at 305 S. State St., Aberdeen, SD, in the West Lobby (Visitors' Entrance) of the hospital. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
