New Location!
We've moved into Avera St. Luke's Third Floor South T-Wing, with a completely remodeled area for our young patients. Each of our 10 patient rooms provides in-room sleeping accommodations for parents. We offer VCR movies, Nintendo, Playstation and computer games.
An adolescent lounge offers the older children a place to gather, watch TV, play foosball and video games, or just visit with friends. A playroom offers toys and games for all age groups.
Safety
Safety is a priority for all of us. Our Pediatric Unit is locked to the outside to protect your child’s safety and security. Access is regulated by the Pediatrics staff and monitored by a video camera. Only authorized personnel in the hospital can enter secure areas using a specific access badge.
Special Services
We believe it is imperative to have services specific to our pediatric patients.
A Same-Day Surgery service for pediatric-age patients is located on Pediatrics, assuring families of the same family-centered focus. In addition, outpatient services are provided on Pediatrics, tailored to each patient’s needs.
