Avera St. Luke’s Pediatric Services offers 

Pre-Operative Visit

Children react to a trip to the hospital in many different ways, depending on age, previous experience and seriousness of the illness or injury. To help smooth the way for a child’s hospitalization, we offer a pre-operative visit to promote a positive experience for all.

A pediatrics nurse provides education while gathering information. An anesthesiologist also visits with the child and parents prior to surgery.
