Our Pain Management Team

Dr. Heloise Westbrook is a board eligible anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. She completed her fellowship training at the University of Maryland in anesthesiology and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in pain management. She has had extensive training in various pain therapies, including spinal cord stimulation, epidural steroid injections, radio frequency and implantable intrathecal drug delivery infusion systems.

Marcia Reed, nurse manager, has been employed by Avera St. Luke’s for 26 years. Her past experience includes work in pediatrics, ambulatory care and oncology. Marcia has been with the center since its infancy in 1997.

Julie Torrence, RTR, has been in the field of radiology for 15 years and is our radiologic technologist. She joined the staff at the Pain Management Center in 1999. Among her many duties are assisting with procedures that require fluoroscopy.

Sharon Goodspeed, RN, has been at Avera St. Luke's for 27 years. Before coming to the Pain Management Center in 1998 she worked in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.

Nikki Hardin has been employed with Avera St. Luke's for 12 years, and began working in the Pain Management Center in 1998. Nikki is our receptionist, assisting patients with insurance, registering patients and scheduling appointments.

Our Location

Avera St. Luke’s Pain Management Center is located on the second floor of Avera Dakota Medical Square at 815 First Ave. SE, Aberdeen, S.D. Our hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with outreach clinics on Friday.
