Saturday Walk-In Sports Injury Clinic Offered
Worried about whether you need to get that sports injury checked? Orthopedic surgeon Enesi Momoh, MD, of Avera Medical Group Orthopedics Aberdeen will be holding walk-in sports injury clinics Saturdays this fall at Avera Dakota Medical Square, 815 First Ave. SE. The clinics will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013.
Avera St. Luke's Acceleration offers individualized sport-specific training and Sportsmetrics™, a program that assists in reducing risks of serious knee injury and enhances athletic performance.

Concussion Management Plan and Guidelines
We would like to ensure that college and high school student athletes can compete safely and without potential long-term effects as a result of repeated exposure to concussions and other traumatic brain injuries. Avera St. Luke’s Sports Medicine Department, in accordance with NCAA legislation and policy and South Dakota SB 149, has implemented a concussion management policy.

Sports Medicine Services
Our Sports Medicine Team, Outpatient Therapy
Geared toward the young athlete, ages 9 to 12, to help develop fundamental sport movement in a positive environment. In six sessions young athletes learn the proper mechanics, which is sure to improve speed, strength and self-confidence, no matter what sport they play. Our goal is to help every participant get better, no matter what level they're at when they begin.
