Sportsmetrics™ comes to Avera St. Luke's
Theresa Backous, Avera St. Luke’s Sports Medicine and Acceleration Manager, and Joe Dudley, Acceleration supervisor, are now certified in Sportsmetrics™, a program that assists in reducing risks of serious knee injury and enhances athletic performance.
Backous and Dudley can use Sportsmetrics as part of an injury reduction program, a rehabilitation program and for techniques to enhance performance. Acceleration Program
The Athletic Republic Program (formerly Frappier Acceleration Sports Training) was started in Fargo, ND, by an exercise physiologist named John Frappier in 1990. Many years of research were involved in developing this program. It has spread to more than 160 sites nationwide and internationally. Athletes of varying ages and abilities have used these techniques to propel to the next level.
