Concussion Management Plan and Guidelines

We would like to ensure that college and high school student athletes can compete safely and without potential long-term effects as a result of repeated exposure to concussions and other traumatic brain injuries. Avera St. Luke’s Sports Medicine Department, in accordance with NCAA legislation and policy and South Dakota SB 149, has implemented a concussion management policy.

Junior Acceleration

Junior Acceleration

Junior Acceleration is geared toward the young athlete, ages 9-12, to help develop fundamental sport movement in a positive environment. In six sessions young athletes learn the proper mechanics, which is sure to improve speed, strength and self-confidence - no matter what sport they play. Our goal is to help every participant get better, no matter what level they're at when they begin.
