The 19 bed unit is a warm, safe, independent environment that revolves around the special needs of people with Dementia. The specially trained staff provides care to attain or maintain the highest physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Person Centered Care
The care the residents receive is "person centered care" with an emphasis on activities. The "person centered care" concept allows staff to focus on each individual's life circumstances. The resident's interests are taken into consideration when planning activities. Residents are allowed to set their own schedule for eating, sleeping and rising in the morning. Staff are sensitive to the individual needs of each resident, ensuring that each resident receives the care they need while feeling at home with us. We understand that long term care is more than just medical attention, it's about enjoying the comforts of home with a little added piece of mind.
