How Avera Connects You to Mental Health Services

The responsibilities of raising a family, going to school, meeting work assignments and everything in between — life is demanding. Unfortunately, unresolved mental health issues can add heavy overtones.

Avera meets the behavioral health needs of our communities with convenient, personalized care.

Talk Therapy to Inpatient Care Options

For example, when life is busy, you might not be able to meet with your counselor. Virtual visits on your laptop or smartphone allow you to meet with your provider with less interruption in your day. You may even have access to an Employee Assitsance Program through your health insurance.

Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, psychosis or addiction, you have access to various levels of care to address your particular needs. Levels of care include:

Behavioral Health Urgent Care

When you need help right away, you also have options you can call to ask for help or make use of the first 24/7 mental health urgent care in the region at the Helmlsey Behavioral Health Center. Consider using this if you are:

  • In crisis
  • Unable to function
  • Thinking of hurting yourself or others
